Very nice Hawk B-ski. Regards the swastika: to me, I think visually the blue one used on Finnish aircraft is actually more appealing. And anything that is historical fact should never be suppressed.
Thanks for your explanation as to why you have an interest in Finnish subjects- I was wondering about that. Even though your username doesn't sound Finnish, I assumed you had some family heritage in that direction.

And another Hawk, this time one in Phil Rasmussen livery from Pearl Harbor.

Like previous two model was non problematic but I added some small details just because it's fun.One of the pictures shows vertical/horizontal stabilizer fairing I added. This detail is one present in all P-36 and I think all P-40 Curtiss models so it did make sense to include it here.Along with wheel covers I think it's one of the distinct features of P-36.

I also added wheel covers. Those are done freehand in Photoshop (as are all my additions) so I'm sure Aaron will convert them to something more professional looking. Those covers have been routinely removed by Finns in their service,I have seen pictures of Africa based French Hawks with those removed but all US owned P-36s have them on pictures.Must be rough airfield use wrecking them as opposed to permanent airfields in US.

If you want to have open cooling louvers on engine covers you should make engine spacer of larger diameter. It will add stability to engine since cover till be glued to it ass opposed to fuselage when louvers are closed.

And a couple of family pictures for a good measure. They do seem to multiply easy.

The model looks terrific, and you have added some appropriate features that I trust will show up in the final version that Murph releases.

I appreciate all the information you provided.

A great line up of Hawks in the final image!

Don

Wonderful stuff. Good to see this plane finally getting the 'paper treatment' it deserves.
