Thanks, Don and Rata
The wing structure extends right to the curved wing leading edge. When assembling the Mk.IXc, some years ago, I was weary of the fit, as Halinski’s structures fit tightly inside the wing skins. All went surprisingly well and I hope the same will happen here. |

I like to see and build card structures for the models and you did a very fine work is this structure.

Thanks, friends
@ Falco - the structure, before gluing the skin, is quite flexible in torsion. But it serves well to fix the skin shape and the landing gear. The pictures show several wing assemblies – landing gear compartments, ailerons and landing gear legs. The black and white undersurfaces are full of printed detail. Just look at the ailerons to see how much drawing and painting work is done on these kits. I find it stunning! |

The pictures show the wing skin assembly sequence. As in the Mk.IXc, I put the whole lower skin parts together, along with the landing gear wells and the radiators before applying the whole thing to the wing structure. The gluing work was done in two main steps: first, glue the center section and, second, the outer panels. Aligning the center section is almost automatic. If the tips get aligned (and that’s easy to check with both structure and lower skin complete), the center section can only take the proper place. You know, the results of an interpolation are generally more reliable than those of an extrapolation…

I really like the artwork - restrained but really realistic and effective...
