Spitfire Mk.Ia - 1/33 - Halinski

The next plane is one of my all-time favorites: a Spitfire, of an early mark. I had already built a Spitfire from Halinski (an Mk.IXc, released in 2007) and, not surprisingly, the kits are quite similar. The Mk.Ia kit adds separate flaps and the number of parts is a bit higher, at 605.
The first pictures, as usual, show the kit.

Welcome aboard, friends
The Spitfire fuselage cross section is very small. This surely helps to get very elegant lines but it complicates the model assembly. The problem is that there no solid card floor part to serve as the basis for construction. Fortunately, the fuel tank emplacement provides for a card assembly to glue the fuselage skin inner parts and all the detail that is a trademark of Halinski kits.
