Wow Ye-8....does anyone else see the "Eurofighter"?

That Suchoi Large Mouth Bass has got to be one of, if not the ugliest plane I have ever seen.
No wait...second ugliest...after the Harvard. lol

The engines look like RR Nenes / Klimov VK-1, don't they?

The engines are the Klimov RD 45 those were improved VK 1 engines

Murph's Ilyushin Il-40 will give you a run for your money, and it's long seemed to me that French interwar designs were extremely unattractive. And for a forum such as this, it surprises me that there's not a long thread about the ugliest aircraft.

Too right Yale. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but as you say, how the French with they're otherwise very keen eye for aesthetics could come up with this :

The Ye-8 does look like the Eurofighter, or should I say the Eurofighter does look like the Ye-8.

That must have been designed by a committee, probably the same one that designed the Pontiac Aztec.
