Always loved the Corsair, all models, early to late. I’ll be following this build. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I had done this model in 2014 at 1/72 but back then Jeff didn’t add a cockpit interior.

Progress on Jeff's cockpit. Really enjoying this build. I have built Nobi's "bent wing bird" before so I know what to expect now.
Also I am forever indebted to Gene K. (not that I will ever repay him) for introducing me to these Derwent watercolor pencils. Greatest way evah to do edge coloring!!

Top class my man. Are those little blobs of glue for the instrument bezels? If so they look the part for sure.
I've got this one earmarked to do for my US Navy thread down the track (whenever that will be! ). Between your build and Texman's little gem as reference I can't go wrong. Hawkman67 does wonders with Nobi's creations. Speaking of which, I must find out how he's progressing with wheeled Curtiss Seagulls he proposed for us.

Yes the "blobs" are for the instrument bezels. Did this in my plas*** days so just couldn't resist on this one.
A little more progress. Jeff really did a nice job converting this one. There is more to the conversion that you would think when you compare the prototype and the later models.

Good progress, Michael. NOBI's Corsair is a great design. Everything fits perfectly.
After building some planes in 1/100 I know they're not really incredibly small, so canopy is not that difficult as some people might think. I see you have the same "strange thing for making circles"(picture 4) as me. How it is called(I don't even know Polish name of it...)? I can't figure it our for years! It helps me a lot when I design my scratch models.

We call it a circle template (I think)

Sounds correct, when you type this in the browser you'll see it.
Szablon kreślarski kołowy in Polish. Now I know how to find it. My old one is broken so new one would be a good idea.

Almost there.
One of the best tools I have found for paper kits is this $1 scriber. It gives me more control than the back side of an X-acto. I learned a long time ago with plas**** kits no to rush things late at night so I will do the next critical steps tomorrow.. Note to those who build this kit. Either Nobi or Jeff got the wing joiner tabs reversed. Just cut out both and dry fir them. You will see what I mean..
