This airplane also flew under Lithuanian, Venezuela, Turkish and USSR flags. so 4 of them can be quickly done as they are full aluminium with national mark.,
Except for the Soviet this is some unusual paint .

Very nice model, but it's a little smaller for me (I have big fingers!)

Really enjoyed building it. As I said it is very like a Zio Prudenziata model.

I actually got quite a way into doing the Venezuelan one before I realized they used the D.500 with 2 blade prop. Turkey had the D.510T which appeared to use a wooden D.501 type prop.
I might go ahead and do them anyway with the proviso the builder kit-bashes the correct prop on themself. Deal?

The Turkish Dewoitines were the ones shipped to Spain, they had three propeller blades, but when their arrival was discovered by the French authorities, they insisted on having the engines (including their 20mm cannons) removed and sent back to France. The Spanish Republic complied and the 4 Dewoitines sat idly in an hangar for several months until they were fitted with spare Soviet Klimov engines from Tupolev SB2 bombers (it was the same Hispano Suiza engine license built by the Soviets).
So the Dewoitines ended flying with Soviet engines, with the two propeller blade of the SB2 and without the 20mm cannon.
And this is the reason why I have my Dewoitine in stand-by.
