Looks great MS. The little Hanriot was truly an underappreciated WWI fighter. The Italians though saw their merits and licence built nearly 900 units.

Disaster!!!

Had HD-1 completely finished and was getting ready for pictures when I sat it down to do something else. Came back 10 minutes later and it had nose dived into a small cup of water I use to clean my fingertips with while working.

So the US Navy loses a perfectly good aircraft to pilot error!!

Still may try to repair her. Right now just very sad.....

Most unfortunate, although in the images, it looks like the damage is confined to the starboard outer wings.

It is such a pretty and historic airplane that I hope you will either be able to repair it, or make another one.

I think there's no way to repair it, judging by your photos, Michael. I would use this one for a "crash diorama" and build another one, to have it in the collection. It always hurts when a historic vehicle, aircraft is destroyed, even a paper one.

DON'T TRASH IT!!! It's still a great looking build with assembly technique demonstrated (open wing and all)

Sorry for that, in Venezuela we have a saying "nadie te quita lo bailado" it means nobody can take your achievements from you, so it was a great model and you know it, we have seen the good construction photos, time to move on and make next model.

So I assume it was a gust of wind or something big fella? Doesn't really matter I suppose but you know you have our fullest understanding.

The stewardess (er,, flight attendant) came in and we were engaged in a distraction. There may have been some flailing of arms or other body parts involved. Kinda hard to remember. In any case when I came back to my senses the poor lil HD had nose dived into the drink!! It was completely done as well. I was just waiting for the glue to dry to go take pics.

Needless to say the flight attendant will be soundly spanked!!
