Morane-Saulnier MS.406 C1, 1/33

Started new model. This one was a gift that my grandson bought for me while he was in Cracow this summer. It's the Morane-Saulnier MS.406 C1 in 1/33 scale, Kartonowy Arsenał(Halinski). Famous plane here in Poland. Our pilots flew on these in 1940 in France.

Years ago I built this plane but it was from Maly Modelarz. Much simpler model with not too many details. The one by Halinski is a real challenge. Tons of parts(some of them, believe me, are completely useless) and quite unusual way of designing. Many parts were not perfect so far, I had to correct them and remove a few.

WooHoo! Will be following this. The Morane is so ugly it is almost cute!

Yes the Morane has quite a history. History always seems to love the underdog which this little aerioplane really was. In my understanding the first prototype could not even get off the ground until they enlarged the wing!!

Good luck with you new project Zenon. Bit of nostalgia for me- this plane was the very first Heller 1/72 plastic I built.

Halinski....many parts, teeny-tinny parts, never miss them parts, some parts don't seem to fit. Whatever said, one thing is for sure: they are sturdy!

Here's the work update. Model is very difficult. I spent a lot of time with the cockpit.
