Spitfire MK.1,Istanbul,Turkey 1940,Thaipaperwork 1/100.Pacific Wind`s recolors
Greetings. A few days ago this Spit of NOBI appeared. Kacper quickly did his work with these Turkish colors. This version of this Spit has a particular history and is sentimentally very important to Kacper. I proposed to build it, I accepted it with pleasure, I put with endeavor and I am very happy with the result. The design, great as we know, different the way to attach the sections of the fuselage, 2 formers per section, you know, system that does not feel good so I did my "reengineering" as Michael says I hope you like it. Kaper, thank you for trusting in my modest ability to build your Spit. And thank you very much.

Really nice work, Sergio. Thanks for building this one. I hope to build it soon as well.
Looks like this Spitfire has 3 difficult stages: nose cone, exhausts and vertical stabilizer+rudder. I'll keep it in mind. EDIT: Your first set of pictures has better lighting. Would be great if you could take some more photos of the finished plane in the same conditions.

Garry, Kacper, thank you. The cone is very small and being very thin paper gives some work, in addition the cones in petals are not easy. A small ball of toilet paper helps. The vertical plane of the tail has to take the form fuselage, I did not just want to "flatten", again inner paper solved the problem quite well. Escapes are 2 simple pieces, someone more skillful could try something better. They wings are perfectly coupled, the stringer that gives the dihedral I recommend doing it in one piece , I joined the two halves with cyanoacrylate and so I could fit it well.
Some photos now that the clouds went. |
