As mentioned before I made plexiglass nose fairing by using the heat gun, mold and plastic water bottle. Here is the result.
Also finished whole top canopy....

Started working on the wings. I made the structure of it more sturdy. The option from the kit wasn't strong enough for me. All the wing's elements were send down by the thickness of the additional paper.
Wings are huge and imitating rivets will take a while but in my opinion it is worth to do it...

How are you doing yours? Are you just applying glue dots to the model or something similar? They look very even and precise... Nice work. I buy mine, laser cut, in various sizes but I've used so many on my current build I'm starting to think I need to either start producing my own or finding a new way to do it. |

Very impressive. I love the idea with the heat gun and the plastic bottle. I would have never thought that the results would be that good.

[QUOTE=jaffro;654660]Adding rivets is well worth it, they look great. It's one of those things, once you start you can't stop but looking back over the model in the end you will be glad you took the time to do it.

Hi Jaffro, I am using old pen for the rivets and pressing them from the other side.I making them on the mat with the scale so that gives me the same distance between them. Also I found a small gears from old watches with different diametrical pitch and I will make a round tool that will make rivets in the future. Here is the example of the tool that I will make it.
