Hi Tom,

Your handling of this model looks very impressive. Like the way you detail the engines. GPM could have made so much more out of this B17G, especially on details like these and the interior. I remember the Monogram 1:48 plastic kit (the p-word is very risky to use in this forum, but quite a few of us have a history in plastic, including myself), which was a great kit.

Also, have a look at John Dell's B17s, which can be found on this site. Not exactly 1:33 scale but it can be blown up to that as the artwork is great and certainly allows it. In fact I have once considered to use John's G-version as wrapping around the GPM model but it hasn't come to that yet.

Keep up the great work!

Erik

Great looking power plant. That is a heck of a lot of work, but you end result is worth it.

Hi Erik,
Thanks for shearing John Dell's work with me. His builds are great. Weathering the plane is something that I have in mind but I have never done it so I kind of scared if I should do it or not :( According to original pictures of the aircraft, GPM could improve this kit for more advanced modelists, but simple kit like this is also great for beginners like me to work with.

Thanks Garry again for warm words.

If it wasn't for the Lego this could almost be the factory floor at one of the Boeing facilities in 1944!
