Hi Gary,

It was the first time I used the heat gun but I am happy with the result. It takes practice to do it but once you got the feeling of how much heat do you need it is pretty simple and inexpensive method. What is important to apply more heat at the bottom of the mold so heat pulling plastic downwards and you won't get any wrinkles.
I found a video of the method on youtube. Here you go.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvsukWKA3sg

It is in polish language but if you need translation please let me know and I will help out.

regards,

Tom

Thank Tom, that video was very helpful (even though I don't understand Polish). The results are pretty good.

Thanks,
Gary

No problem Gary basically you don't need to understand what he is talking about. He was just explaining what he is doing but video explains everything. If you have any questions please feel free to ask about this method I can explain.

Regards,
Tom

Nice progress.

I guess the engine nacelles are next. You may recall that I said that the GPM kit has the petal design up front which look really terrible. You may want to consider adding putty, smoothing it out and painting.

Hey! I know that engine! It's on the DB-17G at the SAC Aerospace Museum here in Nebraska. (I used to work there, so I know that view and roof trusses VERY well.)

You're doing great on the build BTW.
