Very nice work!

Here are a few photos of the actual “A Bit O’ Lace” that should be useful. When adding weathering to a B-17 model, remember, those four slots on top of the wing behind the engines are not exhaust ports. They are cooling slots for the oil cooler and turbo charger intercoolers. The overhead B&W photo of the B-17F gives a good idea of how the weathering should look. You can also see it if you look very closely in the “A Bit O’ Lace” photos.

If the rest of your excellent build is anything to go by Olo I'm sure you'll be fine. The trick with weathering is don't overdo it. Less is more!

with my lack of skills in this field i will just use black wash for metal panels on wings and body, show some paint wear on the propellers ,and simulate smoke marks from the engines.....I don't expect great results as it will be my first one but hopefully I will not damaged completely

First weathering of the bottom wings, finished some communication antennas and lights, tail of the plain, and decided to modified the turbochargers to look at least more realistic than the ones from the kit....

As Rata mentioned, less is more. You're definitely off to a great start, that's looking fantastic so far.

The thing about washes is they look a lot darker when you first apply them than after they dry, so always let it dry before applying more, or wiping it off cos you think you've added too much. I like to keep some cotton buds or absorbent paper handy when applying a wash too, just in case you do add too much or it runs somewhere it's not supposed to go.

I've just recieved a delivery of some new weathering products myself, looking forward to seeing what I can do with them soon.
