Next Model

Mexico was an export customer and acquired six S-T-M's (export version of ST-A Special military Ryan) in 1937. I'm presenting these repaints in sort-of historical chronological order.
Pretty happy with this one and I hope you like her too. Next one will be the first US military contract version- the PT-16.

Very well done and clean build, not too much airplanes from my country. That´s why I learned to recolor. I remember Inkscape was into my computer for about two years in storage, until Ssquirrel upload his tutorial and that change my buildings. Now I don´t wait and beg others to do a recolor in Mexican colors, I made it myself. Congrats and encourage you for a constant learning curve. Regards,Tony.
P.S. Wait for the next Ryan.

Thanks Tony. My sons had installed both Inkscape and Photoshop on our PC. I watched the same tutorial you mention several times yet still could not get it. My sons both use Photoshop with they're respective interests so between them were in the ideal position to guide me. I even sometimes use MS Paint and Paint 3D to do some things.

Nice repaint, Garry. At this point, all you have to do is to manage to get the lines on the markings. It's a little detail, but very important. It makes model more realistic. Inkscape is the best software for this. You can easily move all lines one level higher. I don't know if it's possible in Photoshop.
I can try to make a little photo tutorial for you. Just let me know if you're interested. This method works perfectly and it's easy on S&P models. NOBIs and Kampffliegers are more difficult if we're talking about the lines.

Thanks guys. Kacper the lines I can do (look at the rudder) but after doing them on the wing markings I found they tended to dominate and didn't quite 'look' right so left them like this.
