I saw a similar indoor demo of an Airbus a few years ago. Turned out the realistic slow speeds are because of just the right amount of helium cells in the fuselage. All the propulsion and R/C controls as normal though and still needs forward speed to fly but it's not just wing lift that gets and keeps it aloft. Actually pretty inventive I think and he's obviously a skilled builder and flier- especially in a confined space like that.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we in America could put on an indoor flying event in a mall? Sadly, too many trial lawyers for that to ever happen. Could explain why the participates look so much younger than the average American R/C pilot. Notice no safety nets to get between the models and the spectators. Nice.

Hook then while they are young.

It's the same here in Australia Knife. Many public events have had to be canned because the organizers couldn't afford the litigation insurance. No insurance- no event.
Anyway, I've climbed down from my soapbox. Back to the thread.....

I don't mean to take your soapbox away, but there is clearly a safety net.

I stand corrected. Thanks, Astroboy. I guess I need to get a taller soapbox so I can see over the crowds.

I fell off my soapbox so will be pursuing compensation from it's manufacturer. Anyone know any good lawyers?

Well.... I was hoping someone would at least recognize the kit/model and/or who built it or where?

I really want to see some build pics. Being a card model and not foam, I can't imagine how it was wired and how its how together during flight.

Here's another video if it's 1st outdoor flight. > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xGtSlJS56g

and another in a larger indoor model event "Intermodellbau Dortmund" > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSWsIvbLxBY
