I like this model and the backdrop.

You have gotten me interested in Dutch air operations in the South West Pacific Area.

Kacper - Some additional info on Dutch Kittyhawks in SWPA:

Click on "In Service with NEIAF" and "Colour information."

And that's fantastic! As I've mentioned so many times this is my objective. Bring back the forgotten history of the Pacific War. Of course, sometimes I do different models and recolors(Cold War era) but I'm still mainly focused on Pacific and CBI Theaters of WWII.
De Ruyter cruiser is probably the only well-known Dutch thing from the Pacific...

Going back to NEIAF's P-40s, here's an interesting website, which was my main historical source:

Good to see you went the full detail on the wheels too. The easy way out would be just have the wheel hub covers on but often these were removed in service.

I'll stick to my way of recoloring/upgrading. I make these models/recolors mostly for myself, so to me designing parts I won't use is a waste of time. In 1/100 it's really unnecessary to have all these little details separately. But this is just my personal opinion.

About the wheels, it's actually not a problem to make both types, but most of these Dutch P-40s had those hub covers removed, so I did the same thing with my recolor. However, my second Kittyhawk, Mk.IA version RAAF, has hub covers.

Many thanks for that site on Dutch NEI/SWPA P-40s, Kacper, and for the Hawk's Nest site. I was unaware of these and am grateful to know about these resources.
