And to complete, I've mounted to an old picture frame that I've painted in a poor attempt to mimic a well know painting.

3D painting effect or a variation on diorama theme so well done by MichaelS.
Well done work.1/72 scale is as far as I can go with single engine planes.Good to see you are capable of going smaller, not to mention good design that can be done well in pretty much any scale. |

You did a superb build. I love the 3d diorama, very eye catching.

Great job on one of Aaron's best IMHO. Slick display idea as well. Really puts you right there with that Able Dog!

Nice work on the display, that's a great idea that seems to be popping up a lot more now in paper and plastic. I'm keen to try it myself one day but it's so far down the build queue I'll probably be in my 70's by the time I get around to it and by then the young kids will be using some form of holographic talking robots to display their models.

Thank you everyone for your kind words.
This is a great technique for certain subjects, very easy to implement. I look forward to seeing yours someday Jaffro! One change I made to the model and forgot to discuss was the opening of the three speed-brakes. It required laminating an layer inside the speed-brake well prior to assembly of the fuselage halves. |
