Murph’s Hughes/Schweizer 300 Helicopter

Fun Build.

Added straight wire the length of each main rotor blade.

Real neat Bob. The spinning rotor gives it a genuine 'about to take off' look.

Nice build of a pretty design. Glad you added the wire to the blades, as paper rotors tend to droop with age.

Beautiful model. congratulations. The Hughes 300C (Its original brand name and manufacturer) is not exactly an easy model to design since it has practically no fuselage, only some tubing and a large bulb canopy. This means that the engine and other "interior" details have to be incorporated. This rendition is very good indeed, both the design and the model you made.
Happy new year!!

WooHoo!! My flight school ride.

Sometime I'll tell you about having your stick buddy brace his feet against the bubble to keep it from caving in when doing cross countries. Also calculating if you have just enough range to make it to the stewardess school in Ft. Worth where they sunbathed on the roof!!!

Do you know this things link between the engine and the rotor was about 6 rubber bands!!! On a hot day in Texas there was not enough left boot in the world to hover cross wind. You just tried to slide sideways.

But it damn sure made a pilot out of you!! (or wiped your azz out over to crew chief school)

You bring the beer. I'll bring the BS!!!

Thanks for the memories.

Co-incidentally, I had done that one in 2012 http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/326507-post2.html and it wasn’t an easy build I must admit.
