Douglas DC-3 in 1/300 from Scissors & Planes
The aircraft that began the fabulous airline system we have today. A collaboration between Trans World Airlines and the Douglas Aircraft Company it first flew in 1935 just as the US was coming out of its Depression. Some of these airplanes still fly to this day making money for their operators. This was also the origin of the C-47 of WWII that played such a key part in the final defeat of the Axis Powers. It is very small being 1/300th the size of the original. The wingspan is just under 4 inches (100 mm).
