Good progress. On a couple of S&P planes I've done, I've printed out the cockpit section on regular paper so it fairs in better with the fuselage.

Sorry for that. It's an old design and I learned a lot since then.

Yes. With these 1/300 I print a 32 lb and a 24 lb. I tried the 32lb cockpit but it obviously needed to be thinner. Not a complaint. Just a fact of things this small.

Seems I'll do anything lately to keep from doing landing gear.

You're not going to ditch this one are you? Can you do another cockpit?

Not ditching it. Printed out cockpit in 24lb and it fits better. At this small size the paper thickness makes a big difference.

That's great news. I guess taking on a new scale needs a whole bunch of new things to learn.

Coming along nicely, Michael! I think you must be a watchmaker to handle those small 1:300 scale parts... Interesting version of the B707 indeed.

Cheers,
Erik

After a monumental struggle with the engine mounts I am calling this one fini.

I can still remember the days in November 1962 where this aircraft played a central part. The place where LBJ was sworn in. Carrying the body of JFK back to Washington with his widow aboard. The landing back in Washington and this aircraft taxiing in on on those old black & white TVs.

My thanks to Bruno V. for these poignant memories....

Glad you stuck with this one despite the build issues fella. Looks great.

There's at least 9 other versions -both civilian and military- that can be had for free in Bruno's thread. Now what did I do with those pics of the Qantas 707's for a possible repaint.........
