The wing radiators fit nicely on emplacements in the wing structure.

Indeed, so neat and precise. So much care taken in the design of the wing structure, truly Halinski. But is also takes a very precise builder to fully appreciate the designer's efforts! I'm always afraid to put too much pressure on the wing skins when wrapping them around the internal structure, by which the spars and ribs start to shine through. Especially since the ribs have a tendency to be slightly too big and sanding a structure like this is risky. It should fit one time right. Good luck Ricardo!

Cheers,
Erik

@ Potozky - thanks
@ Erik - right, Halinski designs with such small tolerances that the structure parts have to be glued very precisely so that the skin parts fit tightly around. I learned (the hard way...) to cut the parts, particularly the rib's front end, a bit inside the line. Shaping the skin parts before gluing and using cellulosic glue reduces the risk of marking the skin. Putting pressure with something stiffer than a finger (like a steel ruler) helps, too. It ensures that the force is concentrated where it can be resisted, without deforming the skin part

As usual, I glued the main wing skin parts together before assembling them to the structure. In my view, this sequence helps to achieve a good alignment. The landing gear emplacements give good clues to get it well.

The pictures show diverse wing details – guns, flaps, ailerons…

Thanks, Olo and David

You know that the canopy related work is not to my taste. Fortunately, there is a good quality plastic accessory, sold separately. To get a better match of the inside frames, I delaminated the paper and it worked well.

Mind me asking a small question, what's your usual choice of glue for attaching anything to the canopy (or vice versa)? I'm trying to get some tips on what works best here and your result is amazing

great work with the frame of the canopy.

Do you sometimes make transparent canopies yourself?
