And so it begins...

I finally got most of my supplies and tools together and I have 2 of these basic kits.

They were Yak-1's in 1/100 scale that I scaled up to about 1/75.

I will build one or both this week to get familiar with process and move on to the 1/33 kits I am interested in collecting.

Any of Nobi's kits are an excellent starter for paper models.

Good luck Shawn. I went into paper modelling a couple of years ago thinking it was gonna be easy. I quickly found out it is anything but. Don't let any seemingly impossible build issues discourage you. Just come on here and there's a whole bunch of folks that will help you through.

Thank you..!

I did some internet research and saw what you are talking about. Paper modeling is taking a 2D object and building it into a 3D object which is obviously not the case for what I'm used to with plastic modeling. So, yeah, I've definitely jumped from the frying pan into the fire.

Take no notice of this pair Shawn. I actually have trained chimps in the basement....
Funny enough, Nobi's Yak 1M was one of my earliest attempts. Failed. But I wasn't a member of this forum at that point.
