Haha, thanks... It started from a drawing I did and I tampered with it (severely) to make it digital.

1/100 Version
I wasn't aware of the story of BCPA Flight 304 until NACA X CRAFT started this thread. Obviously because of the Australian connection I really got hooked on it.
The crash of Douglas DC-6B VH-BPE 'Resolution' into King's Mountain CA on approach to San Francisco International Airport on the 29th of October 1953 claimed the lives of all 19 persons on board. The 11 passenger list was made up mostly Australian, British and one Canadian. There was also a single American on board: William Kapell; a gifted pianist who was returning from an Australian concert tour. The local critics had been harsh on Kapell, and on his departure from Sydney he angrily vowed to reporters that he would never return to Australia. His words would turn out to be prophetic in the worst possible way. The crash site is now part of El Corte de Madera Creek Open Space Preserve, which features a number of walking trails of which 'Resolution Trail' (named in honor) is one of them. The crash site is still accessible though park rules restrict the number of visitors. One of the most recognizable parts of 'Resolution' still there is one of the outer wing panels. 'Resolution' was one of four DC-6B's operated by BCPA. All were named after the sailing vessels of British explorer Captain James Cook- Resolution, Discovery, Adventure and Endeavour. In 1954 BCPA was absorbed into Qantas. NACA X CRAFT's original 1/300 repaint PDF of Bruno's DC-6B can be downloaded from the opening post on this thread. My model is 1/100. Upscaling a design always presents issues and I think I've corrected most of them. Among other mods, I redid the cockpit windscreen to make it more 'Douglassy'. If anyone wants to build the 1/100 version themselves please indicate and I'll submit it to downloads on this site.

Nice done my friend!!! Your model makes justice to that plane! And what a coincidence, I´m working in a FAM DC-6 to remind my younger days when I was an 18 years old Fusilier Paratrooper. So no Aravas or Hercules for me, just old and reliables Douglas DC-6. You know that when upscaled this planes always have issues and seems you solve it all. Do a favor to all of us and upload it to the Downloads section. Congratulations and Regards.Tony.

Thanks all.
I just need to tweak a couple more small parts of the design and then I'll submit it to downloads.
