Dear All:

Here is the finished Bruno's Clipper B-314, recolor by Tony.
I just touched up a few areas with water colors to hide the white paper.
Lets wait for its release by Tony and looking forward for the brown and green.

Hello Modellers, here is the PDF file for the Boeing 314 BOAC blue and green camo scheme. Now that W&P made it at 1/400 scale. By the way, nice simple and little diorama about this subject. I was going to upload the brown and green version but I had problems with the PDF file. I already asked for help in the Software section of the forum. When I solve the problems with this file then I'll upload it.Or better yet, if someone here in this thread can help, I would really appreciate it. When I first see this aircraft I thank she was a slim F-17 Hornet but after more research and for my surprise she's a Reverse Engineered Indigenous version based on the Northrop F-5. Based on Bruno's 1/100 model I did this test build and when completed I realize how many mods and adaptions have to make to her. 1.- the overall blue color is darker than the original; 2.- the lateral air intakes must be squared although some Saeqehs have the rounded one. 3.- the nose is a little bit shorter; 4.- re-do and align the central bolt; 5.- construct the landing gear and 6.- put on missiles and central external fuel tank. Until now only point 1 is solved. More WIP on next week. Tigertony100.

Dear All:

About a year ago the noted German paper modeler Joachim Frerichs created a series of the Hamilton-class USCG Cutters and Serg3t published here in the downloads. Of course I enlarge it to 1/400. I was very happy! Nevertheless, the helicopter included in my humble opinion was closer to a S-61 rather than to a S-62. So I decided to create a simple S-62/HH-52 following the lines of R & P designs. I am presenting it here in Bruno's small scale 1/300 for the additions collection. I build mine in 1/400 to match the cutter new scale.

I am also going to release an even simpler model in 1/600.

It depends on my resources and the type of model.

For example, the C-1 was done in a metalized thin card stock 120 to 140 g/m2 (the one that is used in wedding invitations).

The Dornier Wal in silver paper on one side, white on the other, very light maybe 90 g/m2. I can't find this paper any longer.

But I have use regular cellulosic paper about 80 g/m2. But you have to be very careful to prevent warping if you use white glue, as in the case of my H8K Emily. So, one of these days I am going to replace it with a proper model.

I used 105 g/m2 for the H6K but I used UHU for the wings.

My favorite paper is thin glossy (photographic?) at 105 g/m2. It has a coat that prevent warping and prints very well in laser, but lately I don't have access to a laser printer. The C-130 is done this way.

For small ships / torpedo boats I use 105 g/m3 and thin cardstock for small to medium size ships.
