Exclamation finishing the wings

Now add the wing tips

Yakovlev Yak 30-MaksArt-img_8711.jpg

at this point, I slip the inner walls of the landing gear bays to fit inside the fuselage and then the wing parts. There are a few extra parts in the bay, but those will be added later with the landing gears.
Yakovlev Yak 30-MaksArt-img_8712.jpgYakovlev Yak 30-MaksArt-img_8714.jpg

now we can add the very thin wing to fuselage fillets. They went on nicely.
Yakovlev Yak 30-MaksArt-img_8715.jpg

here is the wing joint prior to the fillet

Note:
The last feature of the wings are the fences. However, because they are delicate and will fall off while still working the model, I will add them last.

A note:
I am in a fast pace of posting the build of this model since I am traveling for a whole month soon. The model will be built short of a new canopy and a landing gear. Those will be done when I return.

More posting coming before I suspend this build today.

Some models look better with separate control surfaces!

Great looking, Isaac. The fit looks good. You make it look easy. Were the wing fillets difficult to install?

Enjoy your trip!

Gary

The fillets are very thin and thus easy to apply.
