Caproni Stipa - Orlik - 1:33
Hello aviation friends,
My next project is already in preparation, it's back in the air With the experimental airplane Caproni Stipa from the 1930s this will probably be a strange bird. There are 400 cleanly printed parts on six A4 sheets. With six pages image building instructions, the Polish building description should be superfluous. Nevertheless, I think that this plane will be a real challenge for me. Because of the many thin frames, I ordered the frame set from Slawomir. Please keep your fingers crossed that this adventure will find a reasonably good ending. Here is a video that is very amusing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ0ZQesixms |

It is a neat little plane but not very successful. I built the Fiddlers Green version, which I think was designed by Aaron Murphy, and it went together quite nicely. It certainly is a conversation starter.
I will be watching this thread with interest. Mike |

I have this kit in the build line, so will be watching your build closely. Best of luck. I was not smart enough to get the frame set.

Another one of those "magnificent man in their flying machines" concepts. I wonder why Stipa and Caproni thought flying a hollow cylinder was a good idea?
Anyhow, fun to see and admire. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stipa-Caproni Isaac

Nowadays it's very much the done thing to go places with the help of a ducted fan propeller, often in the form of a fan powered by a jet engine when it gets called a turbofan. Of course putting one or more under each wing gives a much less odd look. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ducted_fan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbofan |

Oh and before I get accused of not posting enough urls.
A quick read-up on the original aircraft for anyone interested is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stipa-Caproni and pics of the 3/5ths replica at THE CAPRONI-STIPA | Italian Ways An interesting choice of subject Styrian. |

Great choice! The petals just in front look very tricky. Please allow me not to cross the fingers, as it would singularly complicate any paper modeling task But I wish you good luck

Hello aviation friends,
My announcement has aroused great interest, I'm glad After several studies of the construction manual, it starts today, I'm curious what to expect The ribs for the hull, parts 1 to 1d ... rumpf inner part 3 ... ... stick the printed side inwards ... glue the ring 1d so that the middle of the three slits is at the top, as well as the notch to the right. Seen from the front. Yours sincerely Kurt |
