N Scale 1:160 Planes
Plane people and train people don't connect though some may build both planes and trains. So here's the connection between the two and N scale planes may cross path with N-scale trains. Then we can have train dioramas of N scale airports, airfields and what-not and N-scale planes, vehicles etc.
The first is randomly picked after the release of the Westland P.12 Wendover by Gary Pilsworth. The original scale is 1/48 and after reduction to 30%, it arrives at 1/160. Slightly better off than building 1/200! Had this weirdo printed in my heap of to-do paper planes for some time and as a break from soda cans, thought why not give this a go. Not too difficult to build though, the spinning prop is a bit of struggle to get it done, spinning, I mean. Normal 80 gsm printing paper was used and some parts like wings, stabs and fuselage were glued double to make them stronger. The next to come, a lot of them, will likely be from Bruno's, Murph's and so on (for planes). Stay tuned, willya? |

Another little masterpiece!
I like the idea of using N-scale, although in the UK, N Scale is 1/148, which makes 1/144 aircraft almost compatible. Both scales use mm track, however. Don |

Thanks guys. N scale covers 1/148 to 1/160 so that’s what I know from the web but thanks again for arousing my curiosity in finding what it covers, Don. Anyway as there are 1/144 builders here already so I figure that I’ll do 1/160 for a change.

I think it's a good choice. It's generally 1/160 in Japan, Germany, and the United States.
And, whatever scale, it's a beautiful model of an unusual aircraft. Don |

And 1/160 elsewhere - the oddity is the UK railway N gauge, as mentioned, which is 1/148. This would only be used for railways though.
