North American X-15 A-2
Hello Modellers, now I bring to you not an every day X-15. This is the second X-15A and was remodeled after a landing accident. Its fuselage was lengthened 74 cm, it was equipped with additional fuel tanks and it received an anti-heat treatment on its surface. The plane was named X-15A-2 and made its first flight on June 28, 1964, reaching a speed of 7,274 km / h (2,021 m / s). With Pete Knight at the controls. Still to be built is the landing gear and a ram-jet leading to the lower tier. But above all, it is necessary to build its Mother Ship: the NB-52 "Balls Eight" The other images show B-52 fuselages in 1/150 scale (gray) and 1/100 scale (camo). I retake them after more than a year stored. Details are missing but here it goes. I build it based on Bruno's S&P 1/300 model upscaled at 1/100 and 95 gr/m2 Opalina paper. There is also a 1/100 not free version of S&P $1.00 USD. And not forget the fabulous X-!5 by Henry Yuen here into the Downloads section. Fiddler's Green has also a black version of the X-15 in companion of his B-52. I buyed Nobi's B-52 at 1/100 scale recolored by Rata, but I'm not trying it. Best Regards, Tony. |

Hello Modellers. "Balls Eight" NB-52 carry ship for the X-15 A-2 is taking shape. The fuselage of the B-52's is a squared form so I made some square formers and reinforce the wings with a wing spear. The serial number on the fin is misaligned, so must to align and print. Best Regards, Tony.

Hello Modelers! NB-52 "Balls Eight" is taking shape, now must to do the time consuming parts: engine nacelles, engines, and whole landing gear. Began struggling with the small 1/300 scale X-15. As none has designed, because there is no paper B-52 with X-15 model kit, I must to design the X-15 Y-shaped support to his Mother Ship. Regards, Tony.

The first plane of the Renewal Float is completed. Boeing NB-52 Stratofortress (in reality a B-52 model A given to NACA/NASA) with North American X-15 A-2 under his right wing.
I constructed this at 1:300 scale and with 125 gr/m2 Opalina paper, and the X-15 with 95 gr/m2 Opalina paper. Now I'll build B-52 G into a Desert Storm scheme recolored by Waylon just out of the oven. Best Regards and Happy Modelling, Tigertony100 |

Hello Modellers, I started with B-52 G recolored by Waylon. I'm going to build it as it comes. No mods, or improvements for now. My printer sets darker colors, I feel the colors should be lighter. But is my printer, not Waylon's fault. I encontoured some misalignment. Engines in the process of building. Best Regards, Tony.

Looks great Tony, the same thing happens in the copy center where I make the prints, the colors are darker than what is seen in the file.
