Thanks Brent & Sergio.
Did the rear part of the first engine pod today. Checks out so I'll use it as a pattern for the other three. Also I spoke to Chatchai today about the three horizontal lines on each side of the nosecone (see pic). These are fine on the grey versions but a bit too prominent on this one. He agrees so I've removed them for the final draft.

Cheers CMDR.
Port wing finished and starboard about 50%. When all the engine pods are done I'll print and test build the rest. I've found when recolouring the worst offender for colour misalignment is always the fuselage but as that's all ok I can't see the rest of the test build presenting any problems.
Note to self: print off the rest of it in one hit. If you look hard at the pics you'll notice slight colour variations on the fin and starboard tailplane. Done on the same laser printer as the rest of plane but on different days. Cautionary tale!

Exactly! When I do layering/detailing, I print both copies at the same time for
that reason. You can print the same file with the same settings, on different days,
and they will be different. Not much, but it is usually noticeable.

I noticed on your engine fan sections, the tabs are visible.
Are there intake liners in the kit to cover them?

Sorry Ray, no liners on either the intake or tailpipe are provided. The builder will have to do some modelling (eek! ) and color themselves. Bear in mind this will be even more pronounced on the grey versions.
