Murph's Models Boeing 377
Just starting this build of a large and imposing Propliner in Pan Am livery. Question for Aaron - the front landing gear are really complex, and each part is lettered as though there were instructions somewhere. Finding it tough to figure out what goes where. You must have been looking closely at the real thing to design it, but I don't have one close by. Any advice?

Not really. The Pan Am version is a Jeff Orcutt repaint. The nose gear I designed consists of parts A, B, and C. All the other parts are ones he drew up, and I don't know how it works.

You can always make an in-flight version

Thanks Aaron and Bruno. Is the "prototype" model your original design, Aaron? I have collected a file of photos of the nose gear of the B-377, and the B-50 bomber that it is based on, as well as the KC-50 tanker, and I gotta say, it is amazingly complex in real life. Wonder if Jeff Orcutt is a member here? I do see that there is a KC-50 on a nearby airbase (Robins). Maybe they would let me walk up to it and get some close up photos. As you suggest Bruno, it may be a good thing that it retracts!

I´m eagerly awaiting the photos of your model. I got myself at least 5 different schemes of it in Bruno´s.

I'm gathering info for a couple more versions of the 377, American Airlines, and a firebomber
Though the AA version looks a little too Phottoshoppy for me. I need to find out if that paint scheme lines up with when (or if) they had 377's. Otherwise, I'll try this one: |

I've done this in 1/200 long ago and wonder if the following pics help to show the front landing gear?
