Exclamation Engine inlet

Yoav

The Meteor was powered by a Rolls Royce Derwint engine. Those were of the radial compressor type and you could see the front part of the engine which showed the accessories only. Also, the wing spar went in front of the engine and there was a fairing like a wing leading edge inside. You may allready designed these, however if not, please consider this into your design.

Hey Isaac

I have these pictures you put here.

I have the separation unit inside the air intake, but I have not yet put it.

Wonderful Yoav, your tutorial on canopy vacuum forming is very clear. I must say that the vacuum box I made when working on your Mirage is very similar in design. Only difference in the procedure is that I didn't use an oven (barred by the wife) but an electrically heated plate which is part of a, let's call it, table barbecue set. Easy to handle and providing the heat input very quickly.

The entire procedure is elaborate but with a bit of experience very good results can be achieved!

Cheers,
Erik

I can say that the prototype is ready ... A few small things remain, but in principle I finished the prototype and next week I will start the painting work.

Question Wing spars

Yoav

For those of us that will build this model with the landing gear down, the wing to fuselage spars appear to be crossing the landing gear bays. Can you design it with the spars in front and back of the bay?

Should be easy fix.

Thanks

Isaac
