Thanks

I like unusual and obscure early jet planes, and this is a good series. I would love to see more early Yaks available if he can design them. As far as building on the road, as I said, those must be relatively easy kits to build since I can't carry all my tools and material with me . Also, they must be small enough to pack. I like it. Cockpit and forward fuselage
Here is the typical cockpit which this kit has common with minor changes to all 3 of his design. As noted before, it is not correct since the actual cockpit resides between the split air intake and is narrower. But or this model design it is OK.
The cockpit tub is then inserted from behind and glued in place. I added small weight under the cockpit to make sure the model will sit on all 3 wheels when completed. Here is the next section aft of the cockpit. Isaac

Fuselage is joined
At this point all the fuselage sections are ready to join. Center to aft and then the forward section.
Here it is and a bottom view. Note the center section glue seam is a bit offset. I had to do it in order to match the panel lines in front and back. Not sure if it is the kit design or me, but it makes no difference at this point. Isaac

Wings
Here are the wing parts. Easy construction and separate control surfaces.
skin folded over the leading edge and glued along the back The wing support structure is a plain card that incorporates the main gear landing gear bay section glue the inner support in place and the wing is now glued to the fuselage connected to the fuselage center section inner frame both wings are now glued That is all for now. The models are packed up and I will continue posting when I get home. Isaac

Wing continued
I am finally back home and now will continue this build write up.
I actually got this model to a point of about 90% finished while on the road ( you can build this model in a week if you wanted ). Here is where the inner lining of the main gear bay will be inserted wing root and the ailerons/flap parts. For some reason the kit has it combined. I would have separated it now that I think about it and have better reference information. installed Isaac

Main landing gear bay
The design provides for the inner lining of the main gear bay. I found it easier to fold it, apply glue to the inner fuselage and wing framing and then insert it while unfolding it inside and pressing to glue it in place.
The location the part fold and insert in place the landing gear configuration graphics will be used later Isaac
