Handley Page HP80 Victor

I'm just contemplating future projects and I wondered whether anyone has attempted the Wilhelmshaven 1:50 kit of this prototype; can't find anything on the site, plus the very few images online just show the cover drawing, not a made up example or what the standard is of the design and artwork

It appears on the Wilhelmshaven website but I'd like to find out a bit more about it before parting with any money.

Any help would be appreciated.

Chris

WHM models are very good. I have built some with excellent results. Not the Victor but several others. This company dates back to 1953 and most of his models are tops, including the Victor. About 30 years ago I built his B-58 Hustler. Beautiful model and it took me several houts just making the wheels!! The only flaw is that the markings are not accurate but the model is. Unfortunately, I lost the model during a strong storm. I think the Victor is equally accurate. Good luck with your project.

I built several models of this company in the sixties of last century
*And it was excellent
In terms of fitting the parts
All the models were published in the Israeli Air Force booklet, so the color and the symbols are different

That is the one Avraham, any chance of seeing one or two of the coloured sheets? I made the Wilhelmshaven kit of the Scharnhorst, about 40 years ago and it had quite simple artwork but good fit of parts if I remember rightly - I still have the model, plus their kit of the Bismarck which remains untouched.

I'm hoping someone someday will design 1:100 or 1:72 scale models of all V-bombers, hopefully in printer friendly white versions. They were big planes, even in 1::50 models will be enormous.

Well I did the Vulcan at 1:72 scale, with mixed reviews
