Tonight I finished with the central body and the model tail.

In some parts I put reinforcement from cardbord, because some of the parts are long and their sides are straight and therefore can be smoothed a little inward, unlike a model with a round body that has greater mechanical strength.

To avoid stitches at the bottom of the fuselage, I divided some of the parts into two parts, and then some of the stitches are hidden where the wings connect to the body or where the panels are connected.

That camouflage pattern is really bright.

Was it effective? If it was, why is it not used today?

Camouflage is like opinions. Everyone has one and each thinks they are right.

I too wondered why the strange color combination of blue and brown.

In any case, you can hear a plane and see if from the ground in any condition so I think the only case for these coloration is from aerial attack.

Obviously the IAF did not find it effective enough and switched to the now familiar 3 tone upper ( brown, tan, pale green ) and light blue/grey on the bottom. The current color scheme only varied slightly from the post Six Days war version ( the FS numbers of the paints ).

This is a masterclass in engineering, thank you Yoav. I have often pondered the feasibility of shifting the bottom seams to align with an adjoining panels. And here we have it! Wonderful as always.

A truly excellent piece of modelling, looks absolutely perfect in design, colouring and execution; I'm now going to spend some time looking through your previous posts to see how just you do it but I suspect it is just sheer craftsmanship!

The cleanliness and perfect joinery of your designs/builds are always a joy to see. This is one the favorite birds of my youth (when I was only a few years older than the design.) I look forward to every design of yours even if my eyes and shaky hands are not quite up to building them.
