I missed this earlier! What a nice aircraft Looking forward to seeing it come together. On a side note thw written directions arent all that important (usually) just follow the diagrams and build from the inside out then probably front to back and you will be fine :D
Chris p.s. your canopy didnt have the red dots on it did it? heh heh sorry, couldnt resist!

Haha, nope... maybe... :o Well Maj, I have decided I am no where near that good of a paper modeler yet... Im lucky just to get the whole thing together! lol, I have only been modeling for about a year now, and tought myself everything up until... well, you gave me a few tips, so I'm not that good! I put the nose section together, and I can already tell, this model aint gonna be pretty, *sigh* I guess I just need more experiance:( oh well, it won't be the best quality like you all make your models, but hey, I'm having fun!:D here is what I have, along with what I got done of Optimus Prime before the 22 got here! I will fill in the score lines with a black sharpie eventually... and here is what I have done of Opy: just for fun...

Second Chris - take your time. I'm no pro, but I spend a lot more time contemplating how the parts fit, bending and shaping them to fit, slowly gluing one small area/part and squeezing/tweezing for fit, then smoothing with fingers/tweezers/mandrels as appropriate (repeat until done). Also prolongs the enjoyment of that build (unless I'm working to get four rocket gardens done, but production is another story - see Texman's Mig-21 production line for tips there).

I'll third Chris and RFN. It's not a competition and we don't judge. Like you, our primary motivation is the enjoyment we received from the hobby.
As you build experience and confidence, you will incorporate additional techniques to make your models even better. But, first and foremost, do have fun! BTW, if you balance some of those models carefully, they will fly....not far...but it is fun to watch them crash! That's the kid in me coming out!

Stick a card board tube in the back (sized to slip over an appropriately sized PVC tube) and you can rocket them off of the stomp rocket launcher. Jets and rockets anyway - prop jobs require a little more creativity to attach the "motor" (JATO?).
Anyway, back to FARVA's build. Gonna' be too nice a model when he's done to fire it off. Yogi |

haha, thanks guys... out of fear of total devistation and distruction, i think I'll stick with hanging them! lol. anyway, I took my time, and worked slowley on putting the top of the fuselage together, but its not much better, again, I'm new to this hobby, and especially this type of design (cardboard frame) I am used to building FG or paper-replika type models, easy download models, I'll upload pictures later today
did I mention I got to sit in the cockpit of an F-22 about a year ago at Nellis! WOOOO

I think this thread is very interesting for everyone who love the Raptor, not just for your reviewing but knowledgable.
