My first aircraft models
Hello my fellow modelers. I present my first two models, the second of which I completed yesterday. The first is a 144 scale Concorde by Aries Paper Models and the second is a 1/33 scale model of the Rafale naval fighter by Hobby Model. They were fun projects and it amazes me how detailed these models can be. The Concorde...

Very nice, this Concord is a very clean build.
Keep doing your models! But sometimes, it happens to the best, if it is a bit crocked there are plenty of options: a) Keep it and no one will notice except you. b) scrap it (I never like this option) c) give it to a kid e) as Mrs Rata sais, print another one e) do an improved version f) no one will die |

Very well done, Joe! Anyone would be proud of that model, and for a first paper model, it is outstanding. I look forward to seeing many more of your models in the future.

Great first effort. My first models were a bit simpler.

Looks good. Part of the learning curve is to complete a first model of a certain kind.

Thanks gentlemen for the kind comments. I've been building plastic models since I was a kid and have obviously found that this takes a whole different effort and technique. I learned from some mistakes on this Concorde and applied that to my second model, in particular the forming and attachment of conical sections. Most importantly, there is a wealth of knowledge from guys like you on this forum that is super valuable to us beginners.
Here's some photos of the Rafale I completed a few days ago. I found it to be pretty difficult and had to do some do-overs to get it right |

If these are your first models, then I'd say you're off to a very good start.

The Rafale looks great! It contains some challenging aspects, like compound curves and missile noses shaped from petals, which you have clearly mastered.
Onward and upward (starting from a very high level)! Don |

Echoing Don's comments.
When I first started out I found the biggest hurdles were printing on the correct paper thickness for a given size model and which adhesives to use. You are obviously at a far more advanced result stage than I was on my second model!
