Each cylinder has 2 intake and 2 exhaust pipes. Each pipe is printed as a single part but it is better to separate it at the angles and, of course, delaminate the paper. I put a bit of rolled paper inside every pipe segment in order to get something approaching a circular section. I need a break before dealing with the front pipes!... |

Great engine Ricardo, but such a pity the exhaust pipes will be on the rear side of the engine assembly.... Take your time to recover, Halinski details can be "exhaustive"!

@ Erik - I could never find a better word to describe these particular details The front fuselage is much narrower than the cowling. Maybe the pipes will remain visible... The flaps and ailerons may be seen as a break in the boring engine pipe assembly. Anyway, they are delicate. |

The pictures show the lower wing structure. The root makes an angle to mate with the fuselage and the structure was carefully designed to materialize that angle, as well as the fittings for the wires that will link the wing to the fuselage.
Note the many parts used to model the aileron supports! The circles are so small that they delaminate easily. I had to put them together at several points. |

@ Isaac – the cowl has a very wide “mouth” and the engine should be visible. You know that I almost invariably make detachable cowls, as some radial engines get almost hidden. The Ki-43 and the Ki-84 are good examples. In the Sea Gladiator, every engine cylinder links to the cowl with a pair of pipes. Access panels behind those pipes could be left open but there are also links between the engine hub and the cowl. Hmmm, not easy…
The skin parts at the wing roots have odd shapes and fit very well. I made a dry fit test to the fuselage, with very positive results! |
