hand drawn Fairey Gannet, 1:50 scale

i make models with hand drawn templates.
so few weeks ago i decide to make this unique aircraft, the Fairey Gannet.
i took the paint scheme of Penerbangan Angkatan Laut (Indonesian Naval Aviation), which operate from 1960's to 1970's.

enjoy

You designed it the old fashion way! a little bit a la Ojimak but the final product is nice. Keep on designing! Regards,Tony.

I really like your "cubist" Gannet and am impressed with your ability to design and build such a good-looking a hand-drawn model.

Many thanks for sharing this work of art and craft.

Top effort on what must be a difficult undertaking. Good to see someone taking this hobby in a slightly different direction.

many thanks to all :D
in my first year of papermodelling i did build models from ojimak,
then i decide to made my own template.

the point of my model design is
1. how to make it fly (yes, it can glide )

2. how to make the airflow as real as possible with the real one
so i can use my models as an education too for the younglings or teenagers who have an interest on airplanes

Looking at your photos I had thought that but then decided asking that question would be a bit too close to the point of being smart-aleck. Gannet was a bulky looking thing and the model does have that sense of bulk.

yeah, i do aware of the absence bulky look
that's the problem with my method of drawing
since i draw it more cubically, it sacrificing the curve, furthermore the bulky look like this gannet i made

Not to hijack your thread but it's very nice to find someone who appreciates the "Boxy" design style of paper modeling... check out pictures of my old designs... sadly the computer I had the files on crashed and I lost everything. I will keep a very close eye on you and your work from now on... Hope you don't mind!
