The time of the canopy

YOAV

Now, I paste with super glue the back of the canopy and wait for a minute for final dehydration.

After the back has dried out, I stick the front of the canopy with a super glue.
In this way, I check that the long canopy is well formed and balanced on the longitudinal axis of the model.

After making sure that the canopy is properly placed, I gently paste it around the canopy.

General images of the model in its current state.

thanks Yair.

I use this method in all the canopies in my models....it is very easy and very fast and you get good results in short time.

It looks great! Great job Yoav! Now the "it's very easy" for a few of us I do not think it is. I do not know if I can ever make an awning so precise and clean.

When I say, "It's very easy," I mean that the use of super glue makes in some cases work easy and quick (As in the case of gluing the canopy to the model as I presented above).....
because you do not have to wait for a long time to dry the glue, so you can move on to the next step quickly.

I hope I understand better now.

I am always worried with transparent parts, that the fumes from the Super Glue cause clouding - this has happened to me a number of times.

All the Super Glue I have used does that...

I understand what you're talking about, you have to work carefully with super glue when dealing with a transparent canopy ..... although I've heard there's a super glue that does not leave fumes.
Someone once put a link to this special super glue, but unfortunately I lost the link.
This special super glue costs more money, almost four times than the super glue I use.

Anyway, I developed a method to prevent fumes when using super glue on transparent canopy.

What I do is....
I take a drop of UHU glue and on it I put a drop of super glue.
What happens is, that the UHU glue mixes with the super glue and prevents it from releasing steam by 90%.
This also prevents the super glue from drying too fast, giving me time to adjust the canopy properly.

By the way, super glue does not connect with white glue, because white glue is based on water, and water with fast glue does not go together.
