Thank's my friends.
In this week the work is slow, I put all nacelle engines in place and part of nacelle struts, I add a missing tail plane strut (check in some pics in real plane). I hope tonight end the build of struts (for my count is more of 50) and start the undercarriage... Perharps in the end of week the work on plane is finished (have a complete rigging to made yet) |

This airplane is more of a bridge than a plane. All those struts and planks and external structures.....
Amazing what can fly! Isaac

Thank's!
A small update but finally the work on struts is finished, I count 52 pieces segment, like Rob say is a florest of struts, and is more intricated with installed clables. The next job is made undercarriage and airelon compensators, and work on kit pieces is finished. After a paint of white edges, rigging and installation of engines and propellers... |

Very nice Pericles, finishing this should be top priority!
Any of my recolors in your pipeline can wait - am doing Ford Model A recolors now, anything you want to have in a diorama with the Sikorsky? Photos would be useful. |

Although I always thought the S-40 was a good-looking airplane (fomby, rather than beautiful, but with a charm all its own - like a complex steam engine), but Charles Lindbergh (Pan Am technical advisor) was critical of the design, saying it was like “flying a forest through the air.” Apparently Pan Am wasn't satisfied with all the drag-producing struttery and pressed Sikorsky to develop the more aerodynamically pleasing S-42. https://www.clipperflyingboats.com/pan-am/sikorsky-s-40

I get an error message when trying to view the video link posted earlier so I went looking and found these two:
Low quality B&W with sound Color with the S-40? starting at 1:07 That machines looks strange when flying. All of those struts and things.
