Smile 1 and 2 Wing Former and Prepare of Fuselage

Retake the S40 build in the last night I build the internal structure of wing and part of fuselage.

The internal structure is easy to build is a geometrical form the careful is made a alignment.

I turn to fuselage, I start for front part and rear, rear is easy to made...

The front fuselage and cockpit at the moment is the most complicated piece to build many transition curves, the gluing is delicated and made tab by tab... I use my homemade tool for bending of fold tabs, about this tool look here: Home made tool for fold tabs.

The results at the moment...

After I gluing tabs trips for connection another sections of fuselage, for this job I use quilling glue, is more fluid with other kinds of PVA glue and most effective for a integral glue area, again I use a custom toothpick for apply. After I use a flexible spatula for increase the join...

Tonight I hope made a fuselage, I try made the keel after build the sections...

It's starting to take shape. I always enjoy seeing your techniques.

I like the quill-pen-shaped customized toothpick.

Can't find Cola quilling glue. Is it a local Brazilian product?

Don

Don is Gel Glue, used in patchwork, decoupage and quilling glue, tonight I take photos of bottle to show... I believe exist equivalent in USA, the major use is for gluing a large area without deformations, bacause this glue seal the paper structure...

Smile 3. fuselage construction

In the last night I made the fuselage, adding former in glue segment by segment...

Three tips about the fuse construction:

  1. Cut the formers and adjust the most precise possible
  2. I not bend the connection tabs
  3. Apply small parts of PVA gluing and gluing by steps the faces of each segment...

The results at the moment...

Thank's my friends!

In this night I have a small time for modelling, but I buidl the keel of S40, a complicated task.

The main pieces of Keel are oversized 3 mm in each step but this is a vantage and I not recommend Aaron fix because help in the adjusts...

I start for the front keel, and glue each by each segment...

The fuse is completed now, time to made wing...
