More advances on S40, the floats are completed, beside a complex shape is easy to made, I start the build of all 4 engines, I choose the simple version (Aaron offer in the kit a detailed and complex engines to) because the scale and for give time, this build is heavy delay in my schedule because my lack of time and move...

















In this week when finish the engines, I put the model in the jig...

My friends! Sorry for delay on S40 again but I seek in this week with Influenza A (H1N1) and in the turn beetween on hospital and bed. Only today I return to my activities. In Brazil a new variation of H1N1 resist a vacines and antibiotics, my lucky is have a good general health, and I free for a virus cycle...


I hope return on S40 tomorrow

Get well and I'm looking forward to seeing that boat continue.

I always grab some 1/100 scale models ,glue and scissors whenever I head for hospital stay. Last one I drove my nurses mad a bit when kids and some teenagers made small crowd in my room.Good memories...

Sorry to hear you have been down with the flu, and glad you are improving now. An early warning to all of us in the Northern Hemisphere about what may arrive here this winter. Always a challenge to keep the flu vaccine up to date, as that tricky bug keeps changing its spots.

The build on S-40 advanced in this days after recvering the influenza.

I finish the job on engine, I choose for get time the simple version...







After I startef the build of constructon Jig, I laminated the base pieces on 240 gsm card, after I made a floor with additional sheet on 240 gsm for made the joins on base pieces, the final touch is adding in a heavy cardboard sheet for supporting.

After work on jig I start the florst of struts. The logical sequence is build the base struts no fuselage and cross beams, I use a pieces of card for made reinforcement on struts...









After I put the floaters on place... The edges need paint...

Finally I made a sequence of dryfits in a Jig, for gluing the main sets of model need some fixes on jig like a strips and pins, but in general is working very well...













Tonight I start the struts on connection of fuselage on the wing...
