I might recommend wrapping the tail spars around a stiff core, like cardboard, balsa, or foamcore. Depending on the scale it's being built at.

In small scale if made a perfect folder, is not necessary (maybe) internal reinforcements, good news for modelling my move is delay one week because a problems in eletric installation in my new home so a I give a week for continue on S40, in the last night I finish the tail subset...

Now I start the floats and build common pieces like engines (simple version) cranckcase plates, propellers for ready to made a jig and join all sets...

Thanks much for that link, Don. Really interesting (despite some unfortunate broken links therein). Appears the film can be downloaded (rented or bought) for a small charge through YouTube ... or maybe I can find a free copy.

Thanks again, Don, for all the great background you always come up with!

The model looks terrific, and I always like to see images of your perfectly organized and pristine workspace.

That table looks very tidy! Mine stinks, only at the beginning of a model is it decent.

I'm with Sergio. A very nice clean works space. Mine is a disaster, until I need to clean it up.

Great looking build though.
