Photo 1: Now the additional cow shroud (Part 9) has been added over top.

Photo 2: With a new blade installed, I cut out the bottom of the fuselage (where the wing spars run through). I did have to make the cut a little larger because I used balsa wood for formers.

Thanks,
Gary

Now on to the cowling. Using AirDave's method, I've cut out the parts, and scored the tabs on Part 31a.

Thanks,
Gary

To assemble the cowling Parts 31 & 32, I start by pushing Part 31 from the back of Part 32 and put glue on the tab, start at the top and work your way around. This was the easiest way that I could find to get a real good fit.

Thanks,
Gary

Photo 1: Front Cowl rim (Part 30) added, and I burnished all of the edges as recommended.

Photo 2 & 3: Added the engine. The former is a little small still (you think that I would learn by the time I built my third Harvard), so I added a small strip to make the former snug.

Thanks,
Gary

That hood looks really good Gary. Sometimes they give some problems.

Thanks Sergio. Dave did a good job on this design, the fit is really nice.

Question Exhaust heater

If I recall, the Canadian Harvards had some sort of a heater jacket around the engine exhaust pipe. Is that in your kit?
