I am not very good at building but do you think it might be worth recording and posting a build ?
Independent of whether or not you are good at building, you are making smart decisions about the use of rubber motors!

As it happens, yesterday's mail had a quarter pound box of 3/16 tan sport rubber and bag of 36 feet of 1/8 tan sport rubber from FAI Model Supply.
They won't see much use in planes though, but rather in balsa wood boats and submarines.

This book has an account of the spectacular destruction of a large 50 inch span model when the rubber motor either broke, or came off the propellor hook, would have to find it in book to be sure what happened.

It's an excellent book. I have a copy myself somewhere, but I can't find it.
It's probably in the fridge, at the back with all the lost earrings and biros.
My PC went up in smoke recently, I think the boiler went when I put too much coal in it so I'm using a thingy for the moment until a new one arrives.
When it does I'll start scanning in parts and such.
One model, the Blackburn Monoplane, has already been started and many pieces pushed out.
If I can identify them and they're all there I will start this one first.
I'll start a build thread as soon as I can.
Liz.

Has this project died, Liz? Or is it still on hold? I'm getting impatient...

Hi Phillip.
Health problems have put a lot of things on hold this year (including coming down with the dreaded covid), but with luck and a tailwind I should be able to start doing things again soon.
Liz.
