MiG 17 FAPA

When the dispatch of Cuban regular aviation units to Angola was agreed in December 1975, Commander Fidel Castro sent a squadron with 9 MiG-17F and 1 MiG-15UTI, which became the "first" combat aircraft of the Angolan Air Force ( FAPA), composed solely of Cubans, which was "founded" in a ceremony by the Angolan president Agosthino Neto on January 21, 1976. In the ceremony they form the MiG-17 and MiG-21. The Chief of the MiG-17 Squadron is Major José A. Montes. The MiG-17F begin to act against the FLEC separatist movement from Cabinda in a northerly direction, leaving the MiG-21MF south and east, until the victory in April 1976. In the following years they participate in coups against UNITA, until to be replaced by new MiG-21s, and then the MiG-17s are delivered to the Angolans. (which is the scheme of the Kampflieger version)
It´s in the Dowmloads section, waiting for Mr. Rickstef aproval.
Next will be Cuban MiG 23 in African Wars.
And as Pedro Infante says " My blood also dyes red"
Regards,Tony.

Great ! They also had some in camo later on.

(there are still 5 unreleased MiG-17/FT-5 on my end: Bangladesh FT-5, cuban Fresco A, soviet Fresco A, 2x north Vietnamese Fresco A, one of them with green spots on the silver livery)

The model does not appear into the Downloads section; do I something wrong or is awaiting for clearance?

It's not just a case of "remove the wing tip ECM pods from the R and you get an MF" (that may get you an S provided the wing is the same as the R)). The MF has a gun under the fuselage that I need to draw and a few panel changes I may have to make an hybrid of the Bis and PFM wings.

The R is unreleased for now as I added some tabs on the spine that will be tested either on the S/M/SM/MF (that I haven't done yet) or on the Analog (that is done). the 2 I've built didn't have them as I drew them with a pencil after printing. It's better to have them from the start. They may be too wide but at least they're in the correct position.
