Rwd-4

Hello,

Please find the photos of RWD-4 aircraft, which is the recolored conversion of old MM - No 12/96. This model was redrawed in AutoCad and recolored in Corel. I've made three painting schames of that a/c: SP-ADM (Challange 1930), SP-AEL (green - Lviv Flying Club) and SP-AEK (blue - Poznan Flying Club).

Best regards.
Mariusz

Beautiful build! and a nice way to introduce yourself!
BTW ;the pilot of this plane had no idea where he was going, as far as i can see:D
Can you tell some more about the plane?

Thanks for the good words!

I like that you find well my model. Soon I will try to put some more my works- also unique!
Comming back to the RWD-4 airplane it was a Polish sport plane of 1930 constructed by famous RWD team (Stanislaw Rogalski, Stanislaw Wigura and Jerzy Drzewiecki - RWD). For the looking ahead pilot must lean out the head from the cockpit. For landing the best way was to make a slide-slip!
For more information take a look on this webside: RWD-4 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Best regards
Mariusz

I remember that they worried about escape if the plane will flip over at landing - and such thing happened and the pilot had to escape by writhing out like an eel

It was the best period in the aviation history - 30's were also the time of pioneers!!! I plan to build the RWD's aircraft series, if I will have enough time, of course.

Very nice bird. I like the aircraft from this period.

Do you know if any kit is available for this bird now?
