Spitfire MK.IXc, designed by Gerard Methorst, in 1/50
Greetings, another completed Gerard design.
Finished looks very nice, the construction was very complicated. The design has several errors that made me work a lot. I am very satisfied with the result, as I had to improvise solutions to various problems. The fuselage it goes very well, even the two front rings. There is no way, it is as if they were inverted, as if the reverse was the front. So after adjustments and adjustments and more adjustments then putty, sandpaper and paint. The design does not bring the fairings of wings, so we improvise again, paint, and acceptable result. Another fault is the identification marks and the roundel on the fuselage. If you look closely you will notice that they should be a little further forward and slightly higher up the center of the fuselage. Weight to this I am very satisfied because it is a very nice and fun design. Gerard's design is from 2010, hence the errors because it is from his first designs. Some photos of the process. |
