Isaac,
Is it just me, or is that the same (or similar) cockpit to the Yak-30 that you built? Gary

That got to hurt, $100 is nuts especially since the paper comes from Japan. I know that I paid a premium to get it here in the USA. But to me it is gold. Can't you order it to be shipped snail mail ? Isaac

Some of the parts and techniques are very similar. Reality, is that the windows are so small on this plane, that nothing will be visible, so no great effort should be placed there. I will build it with the canopy closed anyhow. Isaac

Lets cut
Most of the parts are very large, I decided to pre-cut many of the parts and frames.
lots of cutting all over the place. Isaac

Lets build
Here are the major parts laid out just to give you an idea of the size.
However, other than potential fit of the large sections, there is nothing complicated here Note: The kit does not provide the straight axial joining tabs ( common to all the MaksArt models I built so far ). However, that is a nothing and you can just cut strips of appropriate length for each part needing it. Forward or aft joining strips are provided and fit well. Now glue those tabs here are the fuselage cones and cylindrical sections and assemble the nose. Note: I added a pin with a plastic ball inside the forward cone prior to assembly of the entire nose. This is the pitot tube. Isaac

So far the nose looks nice. That is a big aircraft.

Mismatches
Just a pointer to the designer.
Some of the parts ( all fit well ) have their rivet lines misaligned even though the graphics and the seams are all aligned from part to part. Example here of the section around the cockpit. The red flashes are all OK, but the upper rivet line is off. Here are the red side flashes Lower seams and misaligned upper rivet line. Is it a big deal? No it is not. The point here is to provide a feedback to the designer. On on.... Isaac

Rear fuselage
The rear fuselage is an assembly of cones.
It's only feature is the rear landing gear bay for the tandem landing gear arrangement. The graphics alignment was not the best, but here it is anyhow. Isaac
