Wings, beams and super glue
Recently, I've seen cases where the wings after a long period tend down for all sorts of reasons, such as bad reinforcement, big wing weight or wings too long and so.....
I have a friend who built 3 of my models and all of them, the wings went down a little bit after about half a year, although for me it did not happen at the same models. In all my models, I use super glue to glue the beams of the wings into the model body, and in this way I get strong and stable wing beams in a short time and for a long time. In the following pictures you can see how things are done. In this picture, we can see with the blue circles that I paste the triangular(flat beam) to the side profile of the wing with super glue. At the same time, the red mark shows the connection of the central beam to the model body using super glue. I did the same process at the bottom of the wing beams. In the next video we can see that I hit the beam many times and the beam eventually stays in place and nothing happens to her. This is the result of working with super glue. In this way, we get strong wing beams for a long time without getting downwards, and at the same time working very fast. It takes less then 5 minutes of gluing the wing beams to the body and to each other and immediately after that we can connect the wings without fear of anything. And from my personal experience, this method works 99% of the time, for long wings, wide wings, complex or heavy wings , and also for wings in model with a landing gears. Thanks Yoav! The video really shows the strength of the good bond using super glue. Very durable!

I’ve been making “I” beams out of extra thick cardboard (from 24 pack soda can cases) to reinforce the wings of my airliners. It not only keeps them from sagging over time, but keeps the wings from being crushed and flattened in handling.
